Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted but due to 2016 coming to a close I thought I'd reminisce a little. This is the first of a few posts all in a similar theme. Here are my outfit posts of 2016. I love seeing them in a series together to see how my style has evolved and also the photography too. Enjoy.

So, as you can probably tell from a couple of posts ago, I visited Paris last month. I had such a relaxed few days of exploring the beautiful (but slightly cold) city and of course took hundreds of photos. I've finally got round to sorting through them (and getting 100 printed!) so it felt like the perfect time to share some of the photos with you. I've picked just a handful of my favourite so as not to bore you. Enjoy!

Hi guys, today I’ve got another outfit to share. I’m really enjoying experimenting with my style at the moment so thought I’d share one of my recent purchases with you in this post. So, the other day I dragged Lori along to some gardens local to me and spent the afternoon snapping photos (mainly Lori snapping the photos, of me). Autumn is without a doubt my favourite season so when I saw all of the orange and brown leaves I couldn’t resist getting a post of two out of the afternoon adventure.

I've wanted to step away for wearing jeans every single day so decided to pick up a pair of trousers. I do have a black pair but I find that black is too formal for my liking so I’ve been on the look out for an alternative colour that can still work with any season. That’s when I found THESE Topshop trousers. I tried them on on a whim and fell in love with them. They’re the perfect cropped length, I love that they’re slightly high waisted. They fit me really well and I also love the belt buckle detail on the front that helps add a more casual edge to them.

I'd definitely buy these in different colours if they became available because, as I said above, they fit like a glove. I was worried how I'd mix them with my everyday wardrobe but found them easy to style up and down, read below for the full details.

COAT: I've had this Topshop coat for a year or two now and I still love wearing it frequently. Being grey it really does go with everything that I wear and it keeps me nice and snug as the weather gets colder.

TOP: A super cheap plain black Zara V neck tee does the trick to keep this outfit looking smart/casual, it's also just a go to top style for me because it's so easy to layer with it too.

TROUSERS: I've already said enough about these trousers but to elaborate further, the fabric is slightly stretchy and the colour is just gorgeous. Definitely pop into Topshop and at least try these beauties on, PERFECTO.

CONVERSE: Such an easy way to add a cool, casual edge to an outfit, and the perfect shoe for adventuring in the winter. The colour isn't THAT practical but they look great none-the-less.

A HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Lori for taking these fab photos for me, make sure you check out her blog (click her name:). I'm so pleased with these images and this post in general. I'd love some feedback about my updated blog design and new 2 column post style. I need to do a blog overhaul but time is tight at the moment (hence the lack of content) so that'll be coming in due corse.

See you soon :)

Hi I'm Shani and welcome to my 'fashion and lifestyle blog' that has seen a huge decline in the amount of fashion. I love fashion, clothing and styling so I won't deny that my heart feels a little sad when I realise how little I'm writing about fashion on my site. So, I'm trying to get back into the habit. Here's my favourite outfit from my long weekend in Paris (Paris posts are on their way so keep your eyes peeled for them in the coming week or so).

Hi guys, today I've got a super fun post in the form of the goody bag reveal from the Intu Derby Autumn/Winter 2016 Fashion Event that I attended a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be nice to talk you through the items that I was very kindly gifted and let you know the items that I'm already using and loving. Hope you enjoy.

Thursday, 6 October 2016

As you may know, fashion is one of my favourite things. I love putting outfits together, I love researching trends and I love buying clothes. So, when the lovely PR from Intu Derby invited me to attend their Autumn/Winter Pop-up Fashion Event I didn't hesitate to accept. I wasn't entirely sure what the day would entail but I booked my train and travelled to Derby where I met up with Emma from carpediememmie before the event. We walked from the station to the centre and quickly spotted where the event would be taking place.

It was slightly nerve wracking when we saw a red carpet area cordoned off with the sign 'VIP area' at the side. Me, a VIP? I'm not sure, but it was so nice to have our own area to sit and enjoy the shows. The purpose of the show is to help showcase the range of fashion brands throughout the centre and also to give the audience outfit inspiration for the popular trends of the season. We sat and watched four of the shows where the models danced and showed off the pieces. It's safe to say I fell in love with many of the pieces on display and surprise surprise, the Topshop and River Island outfits left me wanting EVERYTHING.

It was kind of difficult trying to photograph the outfits as the models were dancing but I managed to get a few shots that I really like so I hope that you like them too.

I love bath bombs, usually just in Autumn and Winter when I can think of nothing better than having a Lush bath and snuggling up in my pyjamas with a hot chocolate. So, with that being said, after having an absolute blast at the Leicester Lush Christmas Event (see previous blogpost) I picked up quite a few of their products. So, here's a little haul of the bath bombs and bubble bars that I brought recently. All are from the Christmas collection apart from Intergalactic, which I have to pick up every time I'm in Lush because it's my ultimate favourite.

Without further ado, here are the products I brought along with the name of each.

Integalactic - £4.25

Hi guys, so a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to get a place at the Lush Leicester Christmas Event as a blogger! I was so thrilled when I saw I'd been chosen to attend and was eager to see the Christmas and halloween range and some new products (and buy some too). Getting to the event ended up being a little bit of a faff as I also had to enrol on my new college course on the same evening (more on that soon). So I was late for my planned train and got to the event slightly late, whoops. But, I got there in the end and as I stepped in the door I was greeted by the lovely staff, Christmas music playing and of course the most incredible scents. I also got a Lush Lanyard with MY NAME ON IT. DAY = MADE, I will treasure it forever.

As soon as I arrived some of us went upstairs in the shop and got to take part in making a couple of the products. We made Big Blue bath bomb and Creamy Candy bubble bar, it was so cool to see the process that goes into making the products and knowing that the products are all made by hand makes them even more special. Some thing that I love about Lush is their amazing packaging. There are SO MANY options for Christmas gifts along with a 12 Days of Christmas box full of bubble bars and bath bombs. All wrapped in pretty packaging tied up with a pretty little bow.

Today I thought I'd sit down and write about August. This is part of my little 'Starting my own creative business' series where I talk about the achievements and struggles that I face in the quest to start my own business.

First off I thought I'd just cover what my 'business' is. So, I've been a Graphic Design student for two years, about to start a third year at college in October. I've always loved the idea of owning an online shop (since about 4 years ago) but I was never totally sure what I wanted to sell. It started with the idea of buying jewellery in bulk and selling it but if I'm honest I don't tend to wear much jewellery so that idea didn't materialise. Then, I started playing around with wire and making cute little rings and things and loved the idea of selling things that I make myself. Again, this didn't really materialise either.

Wednesday, 31 August 2016

Hi guys, today I really wanted to share some photos from the start of August on my blog. So, on the 5th of August we jumped in the car (Mum, Dad, sisters, dogs and I) and drove to the Cotswolds. I've always wanted to visit the Cotswolds so we rented a little holiday home in a village called Little Coxwell. I'd say it was in a pretty perfect location for us and we has a closed garden at the back for the dogs which was great.

This was the first holiday that Ben and Max had been on and they were so good, despite Ben being petrified in the car all the way there :( These photos don't really have an order but they're just a few that I took throughout the week and wanted to document them here. I hope you like them!

The dogs settled in really quickly and thankfully stayed off the furniture too!

So, on August 18th I turned 20 YEARS OLD. I seriously cannot believe my teenage years are over. Of course I've had ups and downs over the last few years but I wanted to share some words of wisdom (I'm using that term incredibly loosely). So here's 20 things I've learnt in 20 years. Enjoy. If you have any lessons you've learnt be sure to leave a comment :)

1. You're allowed to walk around looking like a sloth some days and then do a full face of make up the next, do what makes you feel good. In reality who can be bothered to paint their face EVERY SINGLE DAY (not me).

2. Being nice to people is so much easier than being a bitch. Never let anyone feel insignificant. There's no better feeling than making others happy and in turn this will make you happy. So be kind.

3. Education isn't and shouldn't feel like a chore. Study subjects you love even if it doesn't secure you a career instantly.

4. Follow your gut and make the decisions that feel right for you. Believe that everything happens for a reason.

5. No one thinks you're a loser for writing a blog, no one really gives a shit tbh.

6. Do everything at your own speed, if I went by the level that people my age are studying then I'm technically two years behind but who cares, I'm studying what I love and that's all that matters.

7. If you wait for a 'right time' you'll be waiting forever.

8. Quality over quantity with everything.

9. You're never on your own. No matter how isolated or lonely you feel, know that there's someone else that has felt exactly the same as you do now and know that this will pass.

10. Go for your passions, don't even question if you'll make it. Be determined and you'll get there. NEVER EVER give up on your dreams.

11. Discard toxic people/environments. There really is no need to be dragging around extra baggage. Life can be pretty shitty at times, the only people/things you want around you should be positive. There's no room for negativity.

12. Take photos, record videos, write a blogpost, embrace the 21st century technology that is at your finger tips right now.

13. You don't always need to ask for other people's opinions/approval. If something makes you happy then you need to continue doing it regardless of other peoples opinions.

14. A good night's sleep is always better than attempting to pull an all nighter to finish work. You're likely in a panicky state late at night, just have a sleep and wake up the next morning feeling prepared and ready to smash it. No deadline is worth sacrificing sleep.

15. You think that the positives of working from home is that you can spend your whole day in pyjamas, incorrect. There's no way you can be as productive as you can while wearing clothes that you sleep in.

16. You are so capable, never let the voice inside your head scare you out of doing things that you know you'll enjoy.

17. Everyone is busy, it's life and it's part of growing up. Make sure that this doesn't damage friendships, text people back and meet up with old friends.

18. Great friendships can be made and maintained through a computer screen. Don't listen to old fogeys who are always telling you to 'get off your phone'. I mean, do look up from your phone sometimes!

19. Wear the clothes that YOU like, there's no point in pretending to be someone you're not for the benefit of people you pass in the street.

20. London is my favourite city full stop. If you need somewhere to go on a shitty day then London is the best option.

Friday, 19 August 2016

I cannot believe it. Yesterday I turned 20. TWENTY YEARS OLD. wth. Does this mean that I'm a fully fledged adult now?! I spent the day shopping with my Mum and sisters. It was a super chilled day which is just how I like it, I hate all attention being focused on me in the form of a family gathering/ people singing happy birthday to me (I'm weird I know).

Anyway, I just thought I'd share my thoughts on turning 20 and perhaps a few things that I hope to achieve over the next year.

So, first of all I feel more grown up. I wish to be self employed while at college/ when I finish college and I feel like people are going to take me and my business idea more seriously now that I'm out of my teens. It's easy for people to assume that you have a low maturity level whilst in your teens, this is something that I totally disagree with however I do think it's going to be a positive thing for me.

I can be my own person. I can go where I want to go, I can organise to meet people I've never seen in real life (hi blogger friends :)) and I can be independent. I had the greatest time meeting like minded people last week and have already booked another event that's happening in November.

Over the next year I'm really going to push my business idea as far as I possibly can. I've got everything I physically need for it to be successful, I just need to put in the time and hard work for it to start paying off for me. I'm still chasing my dream of making YouTube videos and pushing my blog further creatively. My views are growing all the time and I know that, just like my online shop, it will take time and perseverance but I'm beginning to see the light at the end of this long and windy tunnel.

So that's my thoughts on turning 20, all positive and happy thoughts from me. Tomorrow I've got a fun/ slightly serious posts called '20 things I've learned in 20 years'. It does what it says on the tin, I thought of doing this post for several months so it's a list I've been compiling for a while. See you tomorrow!

Following on from my previous post that was all about the #EastMidsMeetup, I thought I'd share my outfit on my blog. A huge thank you to HannahInternational for taking these photos, her blog is linked HERE. So, here's the outfit I wore I hope you like it.

Monday, 15 August 2016

I've been blogging on and off for four years now! I can't believe how quickly the time's gone and I'm currently in a position of feeling so proud of my little space on the internet. Being quite the introvert I've never pushed myself to attend any blogging events. However, whilst on holiday in The Cotswolds I saw on one of the blogger groups that I follow that a space at the East Midlands Meet up had become available. I took the plunge and asked for the space.

So, on Saturday 13th August I hopped onto the train (only two stops from the location) and headed to my first blogging event. Having spoken to lots of the girls that were attending I felt really at ease and even met HannahInternational on the train. I was the worst with taking photos because I was super busy chatting to everyone seeing as I'd never met any of them before. A group offs met at the station and walked to Bru, a coffee shop/cafe and all chatted about blogging, cameras and everything else. I had a slice of their chocolate cake and OMG it was amazing! Highly recommend, like I said I totally forgot to take a photo of it.

We then made our way to the meet up which was at Manhattan34 in Leicester. Upon arrival we collected our ice breaker facts (which for the record were really fun because we all ended up walking round the venue asking people if they're scared of cows and the likes). Here are a few of the photos that I managed to capture on the day. The bar is incredible with lots of drinks available. A huge thanks to Danique hair for attending and AngelEyelashes who were styling people's hair and giving guests lash extensions.
I was so thrilled when the lady behind Blogosphere Magazine did a lovely speech. Talking about a magazine that I've loved for so long and giving me hope that maybe someday featuring in the magazine could become a reality. I'd say that's one of my biggest goals for my blog.
Here's a photo of what was inside the amazing goody bag, a huge thank you to all the brands that contributed and I'm really looking forward to trying everything out.

Overall I had such a lovely day and came away feeling so inspired and pleased that I'm a part of this amazing community. I'm already looking out for more events in my area and have booked my ticket for the Blogosphere Christmas Market in November. A few of the girls that I met at the East Midlands Meet up are attending so we're planning on meeting up before hand and going together. I'm not sure what more to say, it was such a brilliant day and it's been really nice to meet people 'in real life' who love the same things as me.

A huge thank you to the organisers who did such an amazing job and thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome at my first bloggers event.

Friday, 5 August 2016

It's a quiet evening for me so I thought I'd have a flip through some of my thousands of photos. I realise that I didn't share a bunch of photos from my trip to London at the start of July. SO, I thought I'd share there photos of one of my favourite places to hang out in London with one of the events that I love attending every single Summer. Unfortunately the 'Udderbelly Festival' has finished for this year but I still wanted to show you around this amazing place.

If you have read my blog for a long time then I am very clear about the fact London is my absolute FAVE, and there's one place in particular that I can't help but visit every single time that I'm in London. Southbank always has such a chilled vibe, it's so touristy doing the day but as the sun sets in the Summer there's a calm relaxing atmosphere replacing the hustle and bustle of a day near the London Eye and Houses of Parliament. This year we attended on a Friday night and it's obvious that all the business men and women head straight out of work to underbelly.

There's a bar, a stand to buy jugs of Pimm's and then lots of food stands selling burgers, pizzas and loads more. I'm not talking about your standard greasy burger, they're delicious. I hope that Udderbelly returns for years to come because with the gorgeous view of the Thames to the left of my seat and the London Eye directly in front of me I couldn't help but feel so content in that moment. London, you're so freaking wonderful, never change please.

Thursday, 4 August 2016

So, somehow July has absolutely flown by and I'm doing another 'Starting my own Creative Business' update. If I'm honest there isn't half as much to update you on as I'd have liked. I still feel like the Lord is trying to tell me to give up on the whole idea haha. BUT, I'll continue to persevere and work my butt off to make it happen.

Phone cases are on hold once again, I've managed to print quite a few of my first design but a part of me thinks it's silly to advertise just a couple of cases. I can't buy any more cases due to a delay with the suppliers. MORE DELAYS, MORE WAITING.

In the mean time I've been coming up with more ideas of products that I can sell. I've got some cute little craft cards and I've started drawing on some of them. I like the idea of selling them separately or 3 for an offer price. I'm going to the Cotswolds with my family next week so plan to take my pens and sketchbooks to draw more and just try and create as many product designs as I can.

This evening I've been setting up my Etsy shop. Initially I was undecided as to whether I would sell solely on Etsy or solely on an independent site. After seeking advice from some other small business owners they recommended me doing both. Etsy will help me build a customer base and an independent site will allow repeat customers to shop directly through my own website.

My aim for August is to have a few more phone case designs ready to be printed on the cases when I can eventually get my mitts on them. I'd also like to have a few different hand drawn cards available on my Etsy and website. If you're create I feel like you need to acknowledge that you likely won't have ideas all the time. It's difficult to always have fresh ideas and it's important to not beat yourself up if you haven't been able to come up with a new idea for a design. (I'm learning to keep this in my mind at all times)

Saturday, 23 July 2016

As you might have seen on my blog, I was in London a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't really planning on sharing my outfits from that weekend but I ended up taking a few photos to share on my Instagram  so figured I'd share them here too. I hope you like it.

Friday, 22 July 2016

Hi guys, another fun outdoorsy post today. On Saturday 16th July my family and I headed on a 2(ish) hour long drive to Walton-on-the-Naze. We had such a lovely day relaxing on the beach and the sun was shining all day. This did result in me suffering sun burn but it feels half worth it for the lovely day that we had. The reason we chose to go to Walton-on-the-Naze was due to my Mum finding a business called 'Millie's Beach Huts' on Facebook (check their website HERE). This company rents out a couple of beach huts on this beach and we booked to rent their beach hut Millie for the day.

The great thing about renting the beach hut was that we could drop off all of our things and have them locked away when we wanted to pop onto the beach or walk along the pier. The beach hut is so beautifully decorated and everything you could possibly need is inside. They even offer packages where you can have lunch delivered to the beach hut and lots more. We had the most lovely relaxed day and I've made a little video of the day too (HERE). I'd definitely love to go back to check out their other beach hut too, it's decorated in a similar way but is in the front row of the huts.

Here are a few of the photos that I took while we were there.

Thursday, 21 July 2016

Hi guys, I know this post is up a few days later than I hoped, I hadn't got round to editing the little video until yesterday but it's all ready to post now! The final day of our little London break was only a half day as our relatives had to get the airport in the afternoon. We visited the beautiful Hyde Park which is just incredible, I didn't even realise how big it was. There's so many different elements to it and even on an overcast day like Sunday it was still amazing.

We then walked up to Harrods and OMG I want it all, my dream Givenchy bag was in there *heart eyes emoji*. Absolute goals is all I can say about that haha. So below is some photos that I took in Hyde Park along with a little compilation video of the whole weekend (video at ). I hope you like it! See you soon.

Sunday, 17 July 2016

On sturdy morning we jumped in a taxi and headed to Portobello Road. I'd never been to this area of London before and I loved looking around the market at the antiques and independent businesses that sell on the road. I love the bright houses and the community feel within the market. After spending the morning checking out the markets, we walked down to a pub garden and sat down for a drink before heading back to our apartments.

After attending the Hampton Court Flower Show we walked through the show to the river having decided that we would get the boat to Westminster. When I found out it was THREE HOURS long I wasn't best pleased but the time flew and it was so nice to see London from a different perspective. I managed to capture a few photos and some video footage that I've put into a little London blog type things so I'll be posting that soon. The most interesting part of the boat journey for me was just being able to see how many planes fly over all the time. I've never really looked up to see planes flying over London and after the boat ride I kept noticing all the planes. Here are a few of the photos that I took while on the boat.

Thursday, 14 July 2016

Hi guys, I've been a bit quiet on my blog recently however I've got some fun posts to share from my long weekend in London. I headed to London on Thursday 7th with my Mum and we met up with family and friends from Northern Ireland. After we checked into our serviced apartments we went for a wander round Covent Garden. I brought a few bits from MAC and Charlotte Tilbury and we had a really nice lunch in Byron. I didn't photograph any of this so this post is focused on the next day.

Friday 8th July
One of the main reasons for us meeting in London was to attend Hampton Court Flower Show. It's out of London so we got a taxi to the event and spent the day wandering around the grounds looking at all of the gardens. Although this is something I'm not really into, I still had a really lovely day and the weather thankfully held up for us.

Saturday, 2 July 2016

Hi everyone, today I've got a bit of a different post. For the longest time now I've been thinking up ideas of potential items that I could sell on my own online shop and finally last month I started the process. I've had the shop ready online for AGES, along with the relevant twitter and instagram handles. I thought I'd keep a little diary type series on my blog to document the process and I'll be updating every month with how it's going. So, here's my June update.

Sunday, 26 June 2016

Hi guys, today I thought I'd share a few of the pieces of clothing I've been purchasing recently. I'm calling this is 'Summer Haul' even though a couple of the pieces aren't very summery at all. BUT, summer in England is questionable so I know I'll get the wear out of the non summery pieces too.

Saturday, 25 June 2016

A pretty simple post today but I hope you enjoy it none the less. I thought I'd show you the shoes I picked up a couple of weeks ago ready for the summer. I've been wearing converse for a few years now and though I do wear other brands, I always find I go back to converse if I'm on the hunt for a new pair of casual shoes. I'm thinking of doing a shoe collection video ASAP so look out for that, I love filming and editing videos so I'll get round to that as quickly as I can.

Anyway, back to the original post. I've wanted to pick up a pair of white hi-top converse and the opportunity came a few weeks ago when I was shopping in Birmingham with my younger sisters. In my opinion they're the perfect casual trainer with a much less sporty vibe. Great if your style's quite girly or even very boyish. The all white's are perfect for summer and I think they look so nice with a tee and distressed denim shorts for a super casual outfit. I'm really looking forward to wearing these more this summer as I've only worn them once so far.

Converse have such a wide variety of colours and styles that there really is a pair to suit everyone. I picked mine up in Office however they can be purchased through ASOS, at Schuh and so many more places. I'm planning on perhaps creating a few outfit collages/photos of things I'd style with certain items such as these converse so again, look out for them hopefully coming soon! I hope you liked this little post :)

Wednesday, 15 June 2016

Hi everyone, it's been a while (I swear I say this every time I post, I'm working on that ok). I've been working on stuff recently and just haven't got round to posting so I just wanted to update and talk about some of my plans for the summer.

For the past two years I've been studying BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Graphic Design. I've written about this multiple times on my blog but it really has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've made so many great friends who I hope to be in contact with for a long time. It's really opened my eyes to all of the things I could do as a career in the future and made me realise that change is how we learn and how we grow.

Up until last year I was 100% set on finishing education when my BTEC course ended but after a lot of thinking I recognised the benefits that staying in education, even for a year longer, would be. I've decided to stay at my previous college and will be studying for a HNC in Graphic Design. It will help me creatively as I learn new skills and techniques that I can take into the world of work. I'm hoping to only be there for another year but I've got the security of knowing that if I'm not quite ready at the end of next year then I can study for another year at college then head to a university of my choice to get a full degree.

This is something that I've wanted to do for such a long time. I'm quite independent and love being in charge of my own tasks and time. I truly believe that I would thrive in an environment where I'm the boss and I can be in charge of everything on my own. So, after a good couple of years trying to figure out my exact wish for a small business I've created ShaniColesDesigns. It's a combination of my love for art and design, stationary and accessories. I'm in the really early stages right now but can't wait to build this up. At the moment I'm waiting for delivery of my first phone case design (after a couple of minor hiccups). I'll be selling phone cases, notebooks, quote postcards and hopefully much more online. I have nearly 4 months before I start college again so I'm hoping this is long enough to create a few designs and start selling some of my products.

I'm not talking going to Ibiza or Australia, I'm talking staying in the UK. My Mum and I are meeting family in London for a few nights next month which I'm SO excited for. I adore London and hope that I'll be able to capture the trip in photographic and video form (oo finally uploading on my YouTube channel). We'll likely be visiting Northern Ireland again this summer and I'm planning to visit Brighton with one of my best friends for my birthday and I'd love to visit Edinburgh for a night or two too.

So, I guess you could say that's quite a lot of plans and ideas for the summer but I've got 4(ish) months to do as much as I can. I'm trying my best to start coming up with new blogpost ideas but my inspiration has been kind of low on the blog front at the moment. I think it's because I'm using a lot of it up while trying to design prints etc. I'd also love to reach 100 followers on my blog before the end of the summer so if you haven't already please do click the 'Follow' button on the right hand side and I'd love to see you again :)

After returning home from a few days in Ireland I've started to feel super Summery. With that in mind I thought I'd pick out a few pieces from the Topshop website and here they are.

1. Belted Shirtdress - £36.00
4. MOTO Ripped Mom Shorts - £30.00

I'm absolutely loving the look of shirt dresses and this one is no exception, so simple but girly. A pair of denim shorts is essential in my opinion and I've got the perfect outfit in mind for these shorts. I love bags and I love this saddle bag, I'd usually opt for a brown bag for summer but I feel black is slightly more versatile. A pair of white hi top converse have been on my 'To Buy' list FOREVER but I've never got round to buying any. I had a pair of burgundy hi top converse when I was 15 and they lasted SO WELL. A final essential in my opinion is a playsuit, super easy to throw on and look well put together and they can be dressed up or down and worn right through to Autumn.

So there are my summer Topshop picks, I hope you liked this post and hopefully I'll see you soon.

On Monday I attended a wedding party for my cousin and his wife. I decided to try something a little different and opted to wear a pair of culottes. I didn't actually take this photos before the wedding (mainly because about an hour before we had to leave our home to get to the venue I was in a lay-by along with the rest of my college. Woo!) Anyway, I eventually got round to taking some photos of my outfit so I hope you like them.

Yesterday my college class took at trip to Oxford to attend the Natural History Museum, Pitt Rivers and just for a general jolly around the city. As we attended the Museum last year we decided to spend more time exploring the city and I took so many photos from around Oxford that I thought I'd share some of my favourites. By the end of the day my legs ached (I'm so unfit lols) but it was a really nice day, it was hot although the sun didn't stay out for long intervals hence some of the photos looking slightly duller than others. Anyway, here's the city and I hope you like the photos.

Hi guys. Yesterday my Mum and I hopped on the train to London for the day, the priority was visiting the Pick Me Up exhibition at Somerset house. I visited last year with college and really enjoyed it so was desperate to visit again this year. The weather was as unpredictable as ever but overall it was a gorgeous day.

As I mentioned, the exhibition is held at Somerset house which is such a beautiful building. The Pick Me Up exhibition is a Graphics Arts Festival held for two weeks. It aims to feature upcoming artists and illustrators and also well established artists too. The exhibition ends in just a couple of days but if you're interested in any of the art then the website is amazing and full of information about all of the designers that exhibit their work there. The layout of the exhibits makes it so easy to wander around at your own leisure and visiting on a weekday meant there weren't LOADS of people.

There's not a whole lot to say about the series of photos that I'm sharing but I think they're going to inspire my work in the future so I hope you enjoy them.

So, there is absolutely no plan or structure to this post. I just feel like I need to get my thoughts out of my brain and that's kind of how I started blogging first of all, I'd just word vomit (mainly because noone that knows me would read it). Now I know quite a few people that occasionally have a little browse and it makes me nervous to just spill my feelings onto the page but hey, it's my blog so I guess I'll just keep writing.

Wow, it's been a little while hasn't it?! After sharing my thoughts and feelings in the middle of last month I assumed it would assist me out of the rut I was in. Clearly not! But, I think I'm back and I'm so excited to start blogging again. So, here's my first post of (hopefully) many in April. On April 1st my friend and I headed to a couple of towns and villages, mainly for a wander around but of course I requested to have some outfit photos taken too. I love these photos and this outfit, I hope you like it too.

This post is just my thoughts spilled onto my page so read on if you wish but prepare for a few paragraphs of rubbish. So, obviously easter is on the way and with that is the excitement for Spring. Usually seasons don't really affect me or bother me in the slightest, life goes on whether it's Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. However, I feel that this year my mood has really been affected by the weather and the time of year. To tell you the truth it's as if I've still got the 'January Blues' even though it's now late March. I feel so unmotivated, anxious about the future and as always I'm worrying about having enough time to do complete I hope to achieve. When I write thoughts like this down I find that it helps ease the stress a little because finally they're not just whirring round in my head at 100mph.I'm so so excited for easter, I'll have two full weeks to focus on what I love doing, working and blogging and just getting my shit together. I find that as soon as I start to fall into a slump I just can't find a way out of it. I guess that pretty much explains my erratic posting on all of my social media. I hate feeling like this because I know I've got loads of time to get things done but being in this headspace makes every single task appear so daunting to the point where I'll avoid doing it until I no longer can.Thankfully I've sorted out a couple of the things that I feel were weighing me down, firstly I've finally got my provisional driving license so driving lessons will commence soon. Most importantly I've decided what I'm going to do when I finish college. I've chosen to continue studying Graphic Design at a higher level (Degree Level). Honestly at the start of my Graphic Design BTEC course I was adamant that this would be the final year of education but I've enjoyed it so much that I don't see much reason to leave yet. Of course I'll continue documenting everything here and I'm really excited to keep learning more about Graphic Design and photography to improve my blog as I go.So that's about it for this post. A bit of an update, let you know what I've been up to (mainly wallowing in self pity) but here's hoping for a better Spring :)

Hi guys, a couple of weeks ago I was browsing blogs (as usual) and came across a gorgeous post by Sarah Ashcroft/ thatpommiegirl. I absolutely adore her style and her love of trainers. I wear trainers almost everyday without fail, with my black and white Nike Free 5.0's being my most worn pair in the past several months. One of my Christmas gifts from my parents was a pair of black and white Old Skool Vans that I totally love, I really like the edge they add to an outfit and they're a lot less sporty than the Nikes. Another pair of shoes I wear all the time are my black and white Converse. Sense a theme here?

I ended up feeling in a little bit of a trainer rut (?!) so was on the quest to find another pair of perfect trainers that weren't totally monochrome. That's when I saw these on one of Sarah's posts. They're the platinum and white Nike Air Max Thea's. Before I continue, I owned a pair of Air Max when I was 13/14 and very much a tomboy. I never thought I'd find a pair of Air Max that I liked until I saw these. I contemplated buying them for only a couple of days before I decided to just buy them.

Hi guys, I spent a couple of hours today working on this video that I'm super happy with. I haven't uploaded on my channel for 6 months which does upset me a little because YouTube is one of my favourite things but yano. CANNOT wait until the Summer so that the days are longer (and it seriously feels like there are more hours in the day). I also can't wait for the day that I can consistently upload on my YouTube channels but for now, here's what I've got for you.

I study Graphic Design at college and at the moment we're focusing on Animation, and Stop Motion Animation in particular. SO, I thought I'd merge that idea with one of my favourite tags on YouTube and this is the outcome. A Stop Motion What's in my Bag. This video contains around 500 frames and I'm really pleased with the outcome, I hope you like it.

Hi guys, on Sunday my friend and I decided to go and explore my local town centre a little bit. Obviously it was Valentine's Day but her boyfriend was working and my boyfriend doesn't exist so we thought we'd just pop out for a few hours for some food and to check out a couple of new(ish) places in town. Now, I'm not sure why but for a while now I've really hated my local town centre. Maybe it's the people, the fact that I don't find the place at all inspiring and the majority of the shops are rubbish chain stored like the 99p shop and B&M. That's not really my style. Being someone that loves independent shops, arty shops and London I really was bored of this place.

However, a couple of new places have opened and I was excited to see if they could give Kettering a, much needed, new lease of life. So, firstly we headed to a little place called The Yards. The idea of this place is that local businesses can sell their products all in one place. It gives the place a huge sense of community and really is a breathe of fresh air for the area. There's a pub at the back, a cute trailer selling crafting goods, American candy for sale and so much more including clothes and people's art work too.
